There are a number of Further, Higher Education establishments and private Training Providers that offer Early Years and Childcare qualifications. The following link provides a list of Training Providers previously quality checked via the Black Country Early Years Training Network. It is the responsibility of any individuals wanting to become a childcare practitioner to source an appropriate, full and relevant qualification via a suitable training provider.
Training providers are responsible for identifying appropriate routes to becoming a Childcare Practitioner, this will assess individuals course options for example accessing an apprenticeship, finance options, pre course skills for example to access a full and relevant level 3 course you may require GCSE grade C or above in English and Mathematics.Sandwell Quality Early Years and Childcare Team will support all individuals through the process of becoming a Childminder, refer to Childminding information page.
